SUMMARY:
The Call Center Specialist is responsible for maintaining accurate information about families in the Statewide Data System, screening applicants for financial assistance eligibility and maintaining current information in regards to types of funding available. This position requires an individual who can work independently answering inbound calls, communicate effectively in writing and orally, understand and implement procedures and practices, and demonstrate attention to detail and accuracy in their work. This position requires a candidate who is bilingual in Creole. This is a part-time Monday through Friday position.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
• Screens potential clients by phone for eligibility through state and/or local funding.
• Responds to requests for information from clients/providers timely and within the client confidentiality guidelines.
• Maintain current and accurate information in the Statewide Data System.
• Attends all meetings/in-service trainings, as requested or required, in a punctual professional and contributory manner.
• Adhere to all Coalition personnel policies and procedures.
• Achieve and maintain Level 1 and Level 2 CCR&R certification within six months of employment.
• Provide excellent customer service by providing prompt and courteous response to client and staff inquiries via telephone and email.
• Interact as part of a team by exhibiting dependability, cooperation, initiative, and punctuality.
• Adhere to all Coalition personnel policies and procedures.
• Assists with all special assignments, research, and report preparation. Participates in the organization of special activities related to child care programs.
• Communicates in a courteous and respectful manner to provide quality customer service and ensure a positive relationship in interactions with all employees and customers.
• Must be able to work on a consistent basis with regular attendance and punctuality, and be willing and able to handle all the duties and responsibilities of this position on a daily basis.
• Performs other duties that may be necessary to maintain the success of the organization, as determined by the supervisor and management.

QUALIFICATIONS:
To perform this Position successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. • This position requires successful completion of the level 2 background screening standards as set forth in s. 435.04, F.S.
• Able to work flexible hours.
• This position requires local travel to Palm Beach County office locations for meetings, trainings and other required duties.
• Valid Florida's driver license or State of Florida ID required.

EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE:
• Bachelor's degree (B.A.) from an accredited four-year College or university.
• One to two years related experience and/or training.
• Experience in high volume inbound call center or telemarketing atmosphere preferable.
• Bilingual and able to read, write and speak in English and Creole proficiently.

COMPUTER SKILLS:
An ideal candidate will be experienced using Database software; Spreadsheet software and Word Processing software. The candidate will have an advanced experience using Outlook in an Exchange environment, tech savvy over all, experience with Box/Dropbox, familiarity with Android and IOS, Windows 8 and 10 experience, and experience working offsite using portable scanners and laptops.

• This position requires sitting and talking on a phone or headset for long periods of time while using a computer.
• While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to sit, talk, hear and use hands and fingers to operate and handle keyboards, view and use computers and operate office equipment. The employee is occasionally required to walk and reach with hands and arms. The employee is occasionally required to stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl.
• Must be able to sit for extended periods of time while performing job duties.
• Must be able to concentrate for extended periods of time, paying attention to detail.
• Must have a high level of interpersonal skills to communicate policies, procedures and objectives effectively.
• Must be able to write or type for extended periods of time in order to complete necessary documentation.
• Occasionally lift and/or move up to 25 pounds.
• The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate to high.
• Local daily travel in Palm Beach County may be required.
